No matter what type of marketing strategy you ultimately use make sure to get the kind of traffic that is relevant to your product offering.
If your offering is not relevant to the person who visits your website, they will be among those who move on and never come back. Write articles for publication in e-zines and e-reports. This way you can locate publications that is focusing on your target customers and what you have put up might just grab their interest.
Try to write a minimum of 2 articles per week, with at least 300-600 words in length. By continuously writing and maintaining these articles you can generate as many as 100 targeted readers to your site in a day.
Always remember that only 1 out of 100 people are likely to buy your product or get your services. If you can generate as much as 1,000 targeted hits for your website in a day, that means you can made 10 sales based on the average statistic.
The tactics given above does not really sound very difficult to do, if you think about it. It just requires a little time and an action plan on your part. Try to use these tips for several affiliate marketing programs. You can end maintaining a good source of income and surviving in this business that not all marketers can do.
In fact I would even offer that after you have seen some success to ramp it up to 2-3 articles/day. Of course these would be focused on the appropriate keyword phrases for your particular market.

If possible position them at the very top side of your page so it they simply cannot be missed. Try to create autoresponder messages that will be mailed to those who input their personal information into your sign up box. Focus on important points like how your product can make life and things easier and more enjoyable. Include compelling subject lines in the email. As much as possible, avoid using the word “free” because there are still older spam filters that dumps those kind of contents into the junk before even anyone reading them first. Convince those who signed up for your free reports that they will be missing something big if they do not avail of your products and services. In fact a very effective way to write your email communications is to state the problem explicitly and then form a GENERIC solution that your product offering just happens to fulfill. Your readers will arrive at the OBVIOUS conclusion themselves . . .

We as affiliate marketers are always looking for the biggest paycheck which comes from correctly identifying a successful market. However, when you are getting started you can sometimes think someone has a “Secret” method or technique that you must know in order to be successful. The general idea is to make sure you don’t lump all of your products together just to save web hosting money. The ideal situation is to have a tightly focused site that focuses on one product and nothing more. An acceptable deviation would be the situation where you are promoting a general CLASS of products.
Make sure all of your websites include easy to read product reviews so visitors will have an initial
understanding of the benefits of the product you are selling. When possible you should also include
testimonials from users who have already tried the product. Before you post the testimonials make sure your customers are willing to allow you to use their photos and names on the site of the specific product you are selling. An additional marketing technique you can use is the idea of writing and submitting articles to article directories that highlight the uses of the product and include them on the website as additional content. One specific way of creating your pages would be the problem - solution method. You state the problem and then you define a solution that your product is uniquely qualified to solve. In the process make sure you identify clear user benefits and of course include calls to action. Each headline should attempt to identify the specific reader and the copy should persuade the readers to read more until you have given them enough benefits so that they can come to the decision themselves. Of course a specific call to action would give them the necessary push to break the inertia around the purchasing decision. Highlight your special points. This will help your readers to learn what the page is about and will want to find out more.

Affiliate Marketing Case Study (UPDATE)

Good Morning,
For all of you that have been keeping up with this I wanted to give a quick update. This project has been guilty of major scope creep. This case study was going to at first illustrate the real world application of the traffic and affiliate pre-selling strategies that are offered in my video based affiliate marketing training series (Affiliate Millions).
But as I got into it I thought that would be a serious limitation since many of you are just getting started in affiliate marketing and would miss or not quite grasp why certain decisions were made and for that matter the long term consequences of those decisons. I also went back and forth about whether I should include a list building component (i.e. could be a case study by itself).
In the short term I will publish a phased approach affiliate marketing plan and build on the components as we go along of course enhancing and modifying as market conditions would suggest. I’ll need your input on this of course so write in when you feel inclined. Of course I will publish the traffic and sales stats for the case study so you can see the success or failure of the information you can find in Affiliate Millions.

Over the past few years there has been literally thousands of articles written about how to make money with affiliate programs. With all of the affiliate marketing program information out there, you’d think that by now everyone would be millionaires Many people suspect that there’s a magic e-book out there somewhere, that costs money and that with it and enough time, you would start to see real financial benefits.
affiliate marketing is one of those things that is not going to make you thousands of dollars overnight. If you can live with that, and continue to work at it, you’ll begin to show slow but realistic progress over time as you utilize the affiliate marketing system. Step #1: Optimize Your Site
Imagine if your prospective customers found your website near the top of search results whenever they typed in keywords relating to your home-based online business! You profits would sky rocket! Could you make this happen to your website? The answer is yes! Using SEO.
SEO, or Search Engine Optimization, is the process of increasing the volume and quality of website traffic from search engine results for targeted keywords. Using these same keywords throughout the body of your pages’ content will help search engines pick up your site.
Google provides information and guidelines to help you through the process of SEO. You should also use keyword tools. Some are free, such as Google’s own http://www.goodkeywords.com. Be warned though! Many people have a negative opinion of articles and web pages overstuffed with keyword phrases, feeling that they are a paid advertisement (which they are). It is better to use the natural occurrence of the keyword phrase in the writing.

Linking your site to your own blog is another way to add content (Google’s Blogger is excellent and easy to set up and use).
Becoming an article marketer is one of the best ways of getting traffic to your website, provide you with literally hundreds of backlinks . If you don’t fancy writing your own articles, you can always pay someone else to do it for you. Most writers charge between $5 - $10 dollars per article.
Next, submit your article to a selection of high quality article directories. Most article directories allow you to include HTML in your resource box, so you want to take advantage of this and include some anchor text with your keywords in the resource box, as well as at least one URL to your site.

Most people use ‘a’, ‘an’ and ‘the’ for such filtering purposes in their domain names. You get a good domain name, and you also get it indexed because the search engines will simply ignore such buffer words. Use numbers at the end of the phrase. Any number like 80 or anything else will do. There are some ideas to use if you get everything else but not the .com ending too. Read on.
