Easy Ways to Boost Website Traffic Now

Can you boost your web site traffic today? And I don’t mean necessarily by ppc (pay per click) which can be expensive. Here are some ideas and things you can do for little or no cost and get people visiting your site within a few hours.
Blogging - blogging is a great way to boost traffic to your site. Michael Cheney taught me how to set up a blog properly to get traffic. If you don’t already have a blog I recommend you set one up under its own domain name (with relevant keywords in it) and then install wordpress. You can set it up to automatically to send a ping to blog directories and blog sites. There are plenty of them you can find them by doing a search on Google or if you would like more traffic boosting knowledge then from one of Michael’s products.
Forum posting - there is a forum out there for most subjects and you can usually join for free. To find them just search on Google for your keyword plus the word forum. You can’t blatantly promote in your forum post but if you write sensible posts, offer help and advice you are likely to get people check out your site and this can happen for free on the same day.
Write some articles - article writing is one of my favourite ways to generate traffic. You can get longer term traffic but usually a flurry when the article is accepted. Try not to send the same article out each time to the different directories, rewrite them to make them unique. Some will fail, some will be average and some will be superb, so it is a case of not relying on just the one article.
Digg it - Digg is a wonderful site where you can post a small snippet or summary of your blog post, article post, or text from your web site. It doesn’t take long at all for this to appear on their high ranking and busy pages, again offering a potential boost to your site traffic.
Email your list - what? You don’t have a list yet? Surprisingly lot’s of people on the web haven’t built up there own email list. If you haven’t already done so I can send you some more info. Just visit my blog. The good thing about a list is you can preset a series of messages to offer them, and you can send out an email broadcast at any time telling them to visit your site for the latest special offer or piece of advice - voila - instant boost to web traffic.
Joint Venture - not always possible in a day but sometimes it is. If you receive a newsletter from another website in your niche then why not see if you can offer something of interest to them and their customers. Preferably this would be something you would do to offer some value - a free report, a product to sell and you would share the profits with the list owner. Some people have 1000’s on their lists and this is a good way to increase the traffic to your web site.

Getting Started - Buying Domain Names Cheap (1 of 2)

Welcome back again. Did you learn anything in the previous set of post covering Choosing The Right Domain Name? Today’s post will give you some insight on Buying Domain Names Cheap or as inexpensive as possible. Let’s get going:
An address has to be entered, to browse a web site - this used to be a string of number but now, fortunately, is a string of characters. A description or a name that tells us about the site is entered usually in the form of either a word or phrase Be sure you understand the difference between the many companies that offer complimentary domain names, and the companies that specialize in selling cheap domain names. You can get a second level domain name from companies, but from a free web host you are usually restricted to a third level domain.
Names that are simply tacked on to the hosting company’s domain name, so that will need to be typed in as well are what we refer to as sub domains. The big disadvantage to this is that the domain name will be very long - another problem is that it will make it difficult to remember. Because of this it is usually best if a person buys their own domain name. Cheap domain name companies are all competing with each other to offer you a good deal, so finding an affordable name is very doable.
The range in price for cheap domain names varies from free to approximately seven dollars. If the free domain name that is offered is worth anything then the hosting company making this offer will usually only make it available as part of a web hosting bundle - so the ‘free’ domain name still has a price. Paying for a domain name usually means that you can get it without a bundles web hosting package. Paid for domain names are available for upwards of one dollar.
The registration process does not distinguish the price you pay for the domain - the overall method is the same, whether it is a cheap domain name or not. Making sure that the domain name required is still available is usually the first thing to do. To check this availability a customer must enter the name that they want into a text box and then select the domain extension that they want. A customer my then purchase the domain if it is taken, if it already exists then another name must be chosen. Suggested alternatives will often be offered if the desired domain name is already in use.
